• Quality Award “Top-Arbeitgeber für Ingenieure 2009“

Friedrichshafen, 5 June, 2009. For the first time in its corporate history, the propulsion system and power generation specialist Tognum has been awarded the quality title “TOP-Arbeitgeber für Ingenieure 2009” [Premium Employer for Engineers 2009] by the international Research Institute CRF. The award is based on a comprehensive analysis evaluating the working environment and career opportunities both in medium-sized companies and large-scale corporations. The objective of this analysis is to furnish young engineers with a reference guide in identifying the right employer, as well as to provide companies and corporations with an insight into the quality of their own achievements.

Ranking twelfth place, the Tognum group, whose main subsidiary is MTU Friedrichshafen, turns out to be the second highest newcomer within this list rating a total of 34 qualifying companies. Joachim Coers, member of the Tognum executive board with responsibility for human resources: “A corporation like ours is always as good as its employees’ performance. CRF analyzed and evaluated elements like international outlook, development opportunities, innovation management, remuneration, corporate culture, work/life balance and job safety. Tognum achieved high scores with regard to remuneration and development opportunities, and particularly in the areas like innovation management and international outlook. The Tognum group currently has a world-wide representation with 26 subsidiaries featuring locations like Detroit, Sydney, São Paulo, Moscow, Capetown, Istanbul und Shanghai.
