Statement of MTU Friedrichshafen regarding the terrorist attacks in the U.S.A.

"We are shocked and deeply troubled by the terrorist attacks on the American people. Our sympathy goes out to the many innocent victims and their families as a result of these attacks. As a visible sign of our deepest sympathy, we have set the flags at mtu at halfmast," said Dr. Rolf A. Hanssen, President and CEO of MTU Friedrichshafen.
As known by now, employees of MTU Friedrichshafen are not directly affected by the terrorist attacks.
As a global company, mtu has of course taken provisions for the safety of its employees. The company has, for example, contacted its staff members in the Middle East and has asked them to get in touch with the respective German Embassy on site.
mtu is also in contact with employees who are currently traveling in the United States; when transatlantic air travel will be resumed can not yet be foreseen at the moment.
