Roland Dietz to be new Chairman of mtu company health fund

• Long-serving Chairman Rainer Goeke retiring at the end of the year
• Ralf Hirmke to become Deputy Chairman
• Health management to provide comprehensive health provision

Friedrichshafen, 22 December 2011. From the start of 2012, the MTU Friedrichshafen company health fund will have a new man in charge. Long-serving Chairman, Rainer Goeke, retires on 31 December 2011. The Fund’s administrative board has appointed the present Deputy Chairman, Roland Dietz (46), as his successor. The vacated deputy chairmanship will then be taken over by Ralf Hirmke (32). The new Health Fund executive team will concentrate in particular on pushing forward the new health management concept at the Tognum Group’s Friedrichshafen site in the coming year.

“These appointments will ensure that the mtu company health fund is able to continue offering its members a high standard of performance, quality and advice in the future,” departing Chairman, Rainer Goeke, makes clear. He has helped guide the fortunes of the company health fund as Chairman for 16 years. While over 15 years as Deputy Chairman make Roland Dietz ideally qualified to ensure that it continues to thrive. As a company health insurance scheme, the Health Fund has had an especially close association with the Tognum Group and its core company, MTU Friedrichshafen, for over 95 years. “We are very well acquainted with the world in which the company works because we only insure company employees and their families. And so we will continue to tailor our advice and services to them,” Roland Dietz points out. “That is why the company health fund is an institution that we are particularly proud of,” says Ingo Metzer, Head of Human Resources at Tognum and Chairman of the Health Fund administrative board.

A key issue for Roland Dietz in the coming years will be the Tognum Group’s new health management concept. Against the background of demographic change, its purpose will be to help look after the health of staff by means of additional advice and training services and so equip them for a longer working life. The new concept will integrate the work and expertise of eleven personnel-related departments and committees under the umbrella of health promotion. “This concept benefits the workforce as well as the company,” Ralf Hirmke, who is a specialist in health management. The mtu Health Fund is the first point of contact on health insurance matters for more than 16,500 policyholders.
