mtu Indoor Football Cup attracts an array of footballing talent

FC Barcelona, FC Basel, Borussia Dortmund, FC Bayern Munich and VfB Stuttgart - with a host of top youth teams lining up to take part, the mtu Indoor Cup promises to be a veritable feast of football.

Am Wochenende des 10. und 11. Dezembers treten 17 internationale und nationale U15-Mannschaften und sieben lokale Teams in der Friedrichshafener Bodenseesporthalle beim mtu-Hallencup gegeneinander an. Der VfB Friedrichshafen richtet das Turnier aus, Hauptsponsor ist mtu, die Kernmarke der Tognum-Gruppe. Friedrichshafen, 2 December 2011. FC Barcelona, FC Basel, Borussia Dortmund, FC Bayern Munich and VfB Stuttgart - with a host of top youth teams lining up to take part, the mtu Indoor Cup promises to be a veritable feast of football. On the weekend of December 10 and 11, some 17 international and national U15 sides along with seven local teams will compete against one another at Friedrichshafen's Bodenseesporthalle (Lake Constance Sports Center). Local club VfB Friedrichshafen is hosting the tournament, while the main sponsor is mtu - the core brand of the Tognum Group.

"Our long-standing involvement highlights our close ties with the town of Friedrichshafen. We also want to encourage young people who display passion, resolve, professionalism and team spirit in pursuing their goals because these are characteristics that also play an important role within our company," explains Joachim Coers, Chairman of the Executive Board at Tognum AG and CEO at MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH.

„An event like the mtu Indoor Football Cup just wouldn't happen without the sponsors and benefactors, not to mention the tireless work of numerous voluntary helpers. Sides taking part in the mtu Indoor Cup 2011 include the youth teams from FC Barcelona, FC Everton, FC Bayern Munich, FC Basel 1893, Borussia Dortmund, Dynamo Zagreb, VfB Stuttgart, Rapid Vienna, Schalke 04, Sparta Prague, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, Aarhus GF, FSV Mainz 05, Ferencvaros Budapest, FK Olimpik Sarajevo and 1. FC Kaiserslautern. The regional youth teams participating are from the mtu Leistungszentrum, VfB Friedrichshafen, TSG Ailingen, SG Kluftern/Immenstaad, SG Kehlen/Meckenbeuren, VfL Brochenzell and SG Fischbach/Schnetzenhausen

The mtu Indoor Cup is being held on the second weekend in December at Friedrichshafen's Bodenseesporthalle . The first round of matches gets underway at 8.30 on the Saturday morning, with the second round and final round taking place from 8.30 onwards on the Sunday morning.
