Open Day at the L’Orange Training Workshop

• ‘Industrial Mechanic’ qualification highlighted
• HR specialists appraise applications

Glatten, July 17, 2012. This year, as in previous years, Tognum subsidiary L’Orange is offering school students the chance to get an initial picture of the training opportunities available at the company. The specialist in engine injection systems will be holding its ‘Training Workshop Open Day’ on Saturday, July 21 from 09:00h to 14:00h at its production facility in Glatten. Advance registration is not needed. At the event, trainees and staff from the training section will hold a presentation outlining the training program leading to a qualification as ’Industrial Mechanic’. Each year, L’Orange offers twelve places for trainees in this vocational area.

At various stands throughout the training workshop, school students and their parents will be able to gather information about the range of products at L’Orange and the content of the different training courses. Apart from watching demonstrations of pneumatic switchgear, CNC program simulations on PCs and seeing how CNC milling and turning machines work, students will also be able to test their own practical skills. The program will be rounded off by tours of the production areas. This year students will also get the chance to have their application documents appraised by specialists from the HR section.
Apart from providing apprenticeships for industrial mechanics, the company also offers places on Bachelor of Engineering courses specializing in mechanical engineering for production technology.
