Rolls-Royce Power Systems has celebrated the start of working life for 31 apprentices at its Friedrichshafen site. The graduates from industrial, technical, and commercial fields have successfully completed their training—some of them with special honors: Maximilian Lotz, Daniel Kessler, Christian Hübner, and Tim Scheffold were honored by the Lake Constine-Upper Swabia Chamber of Industry and Commerce for their outstanding achievements.

The graduates include eight industrial mechanics, five metal technology specialists, one electronics technician for automation technology, seven mechatronics engineers, four IT specialists specializing in application development, three office management assistants, two warehouse specialists, and one warehouse logistics specialist. All of them will be offered permanent positions at Rolls-Royce Power Systems.

The successful completion of their training marks the beginning of a new phase in the trainees' lives, which will require not only specialist knowledge but also the right attitude, said Chief People Officer and Director of Human Resources Dr. Thelse Godewerth from Rolls-Royce Power Systems at the certificate presentation ceremony. “It is not enough to work for personal success and that of the company. As an important part of our society, we must also give something back to that society. We need you as responsible individuals.”

Works council chairman from Rolls-Royce Power Systems, Thomas Bittelmeyer, also congratulated the former trainees on completing their training: “Training is an integral part of Rolls-Royce Power Systems. That is important and a good thing, because you are the future of the company. I wish you all the best for your personal future.”

Internationality and practical relevance are integral parts of training at Rolls-Royce Power Systems. Several trainees gained experience abroad in countries such as the USA, Australia, and Europe through support programs such as Erasmus+ and AusbildungWeltweit. Others took advantage of internal opportunities such as trial internships in the service department and then started directly as junior skilled workers in global customer service.

At the end of September, this year's training class will be completed with the successful graduation of 20 dual students.

The application phase for training or a dual study program starting in fall 2026 is already underway. Interested parties can view current job postings on the Rolls-Royce Power Systems website.
