Aufbau eines mtu EnergyPack QG

Das mtu EnergyPack QG besteht im Wesentlichen aus fünf Hauptkomponenten, die zusammenarbeiten, um eine effiziente Energiespeicherlösung zu gewährleisten. Diese Komponenten umfassen Batteriegestelle, ein PowerConversion System (PCS), einen Mittelspannungs-Skid, einen Hilfsstrom-Transformator mit Unterverteilerschrank und einen mtu EnergetIQ AssetController.

Battery rack

Source of energy which can be charged or discharged via electro-chemical reaction. Structured system including lithium-ion cells, cooling, wiring, asset controller and housing.

Power Conversion System (PCS)

Converts the stored energy into the appropriate form for use by the connected load.

MV Transformer & Switchgear

Manages the distribution of energy to the connected load.

Auxiliary Power Transformer with Sub Distribution Cabinet

Provides additional power to support the operation of the EnergyPack QG and distributes power to other components as needed.

Energy Storage

The mtu EnergyPack can store excess energy from various sources for later use, such as peak shaving and load shifting.

Energy Trading

When combined with mtu EnergetIQ, the system can participate in higher-level electricity markets for potential revenue generation in day-ahead trading, real-time or intraday trading, and ancillary services.

Frequency Regulation

The solution supports the grid and maintains an continuous balance between load and generation, stabilizing the frequency of the grid (ancillary services).

Voltage and Reactive Power Regulation

The power electronics in the mtu EnergyPack help regulate the voltage of the grid and manage reactive power circulating in the grid.

Performance Optimization

By combining the above functionalities, the system can integrate large amounts of renewable energy, reduce the cost of conventional energy generation, and provide reliable power in on-grid applications.

Transmission and Distribution Support

The high capacity of grid-scale energy storage solutions can defer or eliminate the need to upgrade grid infrastructure, enabling better management of grid congestion.

We have provided a comprehensive EPC turn-key solution with one of our mtu EnergyPack QG systems, which happens to be the biggest battery storage facility in the Netherlands and one of the largest in the EU (at the time of commissioning).

Scope

mtu EnergyPack QG including: 168 battery racks, DC/AC inverters, transformers 690 V / 11 KV, mtu EnergetIQ Manager. EPC: construction, grid connection building, site facilities, road, fencing, and civil works including: logistics, project management, quality control and HSE supervision. Mechanical and electrical installation, commissioning and testing.
