Friedrichshafen, 18 February 2011. The 26th February is the day Tognum, the propulsion and power generation specialist, will devote to upcoming researchers. They will be invited to present their work at south Württemberg’s 46th regional 'Young Scientists and Researchers' contest, to be hosted on 25th and 26 th of February by Tognum subsidiary MTU Friedrichshafen. Anyone interested in taking a closer look is welcome to do so from 8.30 to 10.30 on Saturday, 26th February in the Jean-Raebel Building at mtu Plant 1, Maybachplatz 1.
65 participants in 34 categories will show their research and results in the fields of 'working world', biology, chemistry, the earth and space sciences, mathematics and computer science, physics and technology. The event is being organized by apprentices at MTU Friedrichshafen, the Tognum subsidiary.
"Tognum is pleased to play the host again at this year’s regional contest and give young researchers a platform for presenting their ideas to the general public," said Matthias Jobmann, head of Human Resources.
A prize-giving ceremony for the winners of the individual categories will be held at eleven o’clock on Saturday. In addition to material and cash prizes and certificates, Tognum will again be awarding a special research internship at its company. The motto of this year’s event is 'Fresh ideas for science and technology'.
