Glatten, July 14, 2014. On Saturday, July 19, the injection system manufacturer L’Orange will stage `Training Day´ at its production plant in Glatten. Pupils and their parents can have a look behind the scenes of the company without prior registration. A presentation of the vocational training needed to become an industrial mechanic at L’Orange will also be given to the visitors. “We offer an apprenticeship with a very practical orientation and would like to show our visitors the many opportunities open to apprentices at our company,” said Bettina Wittendorfer, head of HR at L’Orange GmbH. In Glatten, the Rolls-Royce Power Systems subsidiary manufactures injection systems for large engines which are installed, for example, in locomotives and ships.
In addition to the company presentation, visitors will be able to join an extensive plant tour to gain an exclusive insight into production processes at L’Orange. Instructors and apprentices at the information stands will be available to answer questions regarding the conditions and content of the apprenticeship and application processes.
`Training Day´ is focused on school graduates of all school types as well as those who would like to retrain. Currently, 750 employees of which 48 are apprentices work at the plant in Glatten. Whoever has identified L’Orange as a good company for an apprenticeship can apply directly via mail to personalwesen@lorange.com. The applications deadline for apprenticeships and dual study degree courses starting in 2015 is September 2014.
